Attention all PEIFA members
The new program requiring more documentation for seafood shipments to the European Union (EU) is now in place.
This means that harvesters must authorize their buyers to sign on their behalf for any product that could be shipped to the European Union now or in the future.
The EU is our 3rd largest lobster market.
Please ask your individual buyers if they require this authorization for the spring fishing season.
This may not be a requirement for all buyers for 2026.
This authorization can be done through your NOLS account by submitting a request and selecting the new “Catch Certificate Signatory” drop down option and follow the prompts and add your buyer information.
