2013 Conservation Harvesting Plan for Bluefin tuna
within the PEI tuna fleet sector

July 12, 2013 - Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) today announced the details of the
Prince Edward Island (PEI) Bluefin tuna fleet sectors Conservation Harvesting Plan (CHP) for Atlantic Bluefin tuna in the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organizations (NAFO) Divisions
4RST-4Wd.

The Bluefin tuna allocation available to this fleet is 126.724 tonnes as previously announced by DFO. The opening date for the first validity period for both the commercial and catch and release fishery is set for July 15, 2013 at 05:00 and will close on October 1, 2013, or once the allocation is captured.
