PEI Commercial halibut UPDATE – September 22nd, 2025:
Preliminary landings updated from last week’s 3rd opening of the halibut fishery show tonnage remaining for the PEI fleet. The PEIFA has requested time in a reduced 4th opening (previously scheduled for the week of October 14th) in an effort to reach the full fleet allocation. DFO will review this request in more detail and advise the PEIFA of a decision by the end of this week
