The President and Executive of the Prince Edward Island Fishermen’s Association would like to express their heartfelt condolences to the family of Maritime Fishermen’s Union Executive Director Christian Brun.

Brun was tragically killed in a car accident on Monday December 5.

 “Recently there have been numerous issues that the MFU and the PEIFA have worked on together to improve the fishery for harvesters in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Christian was a great leader and a passionate supporter of initiatives that solidified owner operator policies to keep our coastal communities economically vibrant.”

Christian Brun will be greatly missed by the harvesting sector in Canada for his ideas, passion and commitment to industry challenges.”  PEIFA President Craig Avery noted.
